A cerimônia do 49º Prêmio Daytime Emmy anual aconteceu nesta sexta-feira e premiou os melhores programas e performances da programação diurna da TV americana.
O grande vencedor da noite foi “General Hospital”, com cinco prêmios incluindo o de Melhor Série Diurna de Drama. Outro destaque ficou para o talk show da cantora Kelly Clarkson, “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, que venceu novamente o prêmio Melhor Talk Show de Entretenimento, além de Clarkson vencer o prêmio de Melhor Apresentadora nesta categoria.
Mishael Morgan, de “Young& Restless” fez história ao se tornar a primeira negra a vencer o prêmio Melhor Atriz. Todos os prêmios de atuação deste ano foram para atores e atrizes que nunca tinham vencido um Daytime Emmy anteriormente.
